T O P I C R E V I E WChuckster01This display was brought into the museum today and although I am sure it is authentic (way to much work to fake) I have never seen this display before. The flag pole is about 12" tall with a working tie string with pulley and can be tied off at any height. It is fairly heavy and is professionally made with the flag seeming to be the original one but again I have nothing to compare with. Has anyone ever seen one of these before?Chuckster01So this is an unknown? I am guessing no one has ever seen another?thisismillsHave not personally come across anything similar before. What are the dimensions of the flag itself?Chuckster01The flag itself is approximately 4x6" and looks pretty much like other small flags I have seen in flown displays. The owner would like to consign this to the next museum auction. We try and authenticate all items and this one has me stumped. Robert PearlmanGiven the logo and text, this would appear to be a presentation by MBB/ERNO, the lead contractor for Spacelab based in Germany. The text content and formatting matches another STS-9 flown memento, also produced by MBB/ENRO. Chuckster01Robert, thank you so much for the information. This is a very cool and unusual item.Chuckster01This flown flag display is now listed in the American Space Museum's next charity auction, along with some other cool items.
